Tonight she had her second round of shots and now she is fast asleep. We just finished playing hide and seek in the front yard as the back yard is destroyed from her boredom earlier this week.

The Big Buzz In The Woodlands Real Estate, Mortgages
August 16th, 2007 Categories: Gulf Coast Real Estate News
While at lunch today for the Top Producers at Keller Williams ~ The Woodlands, the big buzz was all about mortgages. I have a 6 closing domino effect coming into play with homes being sold in Ohio and families coming into Texas.
I found out that the first party did not qualify at the last minute for their loan and the Realtor had to go to the second choice. Nerves are edgy with closings these days. Make SURE the lender is solvent!
The news today was Country Wide and falling home prices and rising delinquencies and foreclosures among loans made on risky terms have raised uncertainties about the value of investment securities backed by mortgage loans.
This has reduced the amount of investment capital flowing into such securities, making it harder for some lenders to get the money they need to continue making loans. (Inman News)

Hurricane Rounds The Bend—Real Estate Worry For Texas?
August 16th, 2007 Categories: Gulf Coast Real Estate News, Texas Weather
Make sure if you have a closing coming up in the next week or so that your buyers have obtained their homeowner’s insurance.
Once a hurricane hits the Gulf of Mexico, policies won’t be issued until it makes landfall. If you have a listing that is sold, call the selling agent and make sure they have the buyer secure their binder. It doesn’t have to be paid for, just a binder issued by the insurance company for the policy would be satisfactory.
The course is not definite, but better be prepared than sorry in the event it hits the Gulf of Mexico.
